The Worst Day Of My Life

It was my tenth birthday. I had an appointment to go to the doctor, because I felt horrible. At the doctor’s office the first thing she said was "You’re going to the hospital." I felt sick to my stomach. I hated hospitals. Bad food, depressing surroundings, and worst of all "needles." At the hospital they gave me an IV right away. They found a vein on my hand, stuck the needle in, and wrapped my arm up. After a while the nurse came in and said, "Time to take your blood." She wrapped my arm tightly so as to find a vein so she could stab me, at least that’s what it felt like. The pain was excruciating. She must have tried six times to hit a vein. That night as I laid with my sore arm, I thought "I’m either dreaming or I’m a pin cushion."
