I Love America!

An American is the best thing to be! Americans have fresh water and good crops. We have freedom to choose what kind of job we want and we are free from slavery. Families have good homes and schools where parents know their children will be safe. We have parks, and we have museums for kids to learn about the past. Children have many toys to play with.

We also have many good places to visit, like the Statue of Liberty. We can visit the Lincoln Memorial and the White House. Most Americans have very good clothes and plenty of food to eat. One of the things that makes me most proud to be an American is that Americans care about people all around the world who are poor and hungry. Americans try to help those who are in need.

America is such a wonderful country that my grandmother's family came here from Russia. My grandfather came here from Ireland. Grandma and Grandpa said that they came here because America is the land of opportunity and it is where families can be safe and can worship God.

Someday I would like to travel to China, Australia, and Sierra Leone, Africa. But I know that I would always be homesick for America because America is the best place to live, and I am so proud to be an AMERICAN!
