We are pleased to announce that for the first time ever in the south metro region, the Illinois State Board of Education will be holding a public hearing on their annual budget on the campus of Governors State University. This hearing will be one of only six being held across the state. School superintendents, board members, parents, and other interested citizens are invited to attend this important hearing and offer comments on the budget plans for public education. We are recommending and requesting that written statements be submitted. Oral comments, to accompany a statement or voice an opinion, will be limited to five minutes.
