LINCOLN: FOSTERING
A SENSE OF "REGION":
The Lincoln Project, which was originally conceived of as the "Learning
IN Community On-Line Network," is a regional system that uses computer-based
(LincolnNet) and telephone-based (Lincoln InfoLine) technologies to link
south metro residents, organizations, governments, libraries, churches,
businesses, and schools, and is developing as an efficient means for information
and resource sharing, education and training, and public interaction and
problem-solving.
From ongoing institutional bases, and as a result of the RAP/2000+ Action
Teams, a number of "working groups" helped to define the Lincoln
Networks, particularly the web based LincolnNet.
