Our Mission

As a United Way agency, we are here to answer emergency needs of residents of the Chicago South Suburban Area (to see other human assistance agencies working near us, click here).  In order to help the truly needy first, we are forced to require documented verification of South Suburban residency and all circumstances of any emergency.  We believe in helping our neighbors because we have no doubt that CARING is the key to true community!

Our Plea

Won't you consider helping.   Whatever you can spare in time and/or money (especially outside the Christmas season) will be greatly appreciated.  If you have toys, clothing or furniture which you are tired of but is still in good condition, please call us - we can do pickups.  If you have food with a shelf-life expiration date within the next few months, think of donating it to Respond Now if there is any danger the food will go to waste.  After you have considered, use one of the methods below to reach us.  We will gladly give receipts for tax purposes.
