Leaders
	Below is a listing of the leaders and staff of Hope Lutheran Church.

	Pastor Michael J. Heggen
		Pastor Michael J. Heggen, formerly of Englewood, CO, was installed as pastor of Hope Lutheran on January 17, 1999. He and his wife, Kathy, live in Steger. Their son, Paul, is a meteorologist for the CBS TV affiliate in Huntington, West Virginia. Their daughter, Michelle, is a parochial school teacher in Prior Lake, Minnesota.

	Director of Music, Karen Dalton
		Karen Dalton is in her twentienth year here at Hope as Director of Music. In addition to her music ministry at Hope, she teaches voice at Prairie State College. With the help of friends, Karen has put together several musical benefit concerts for Hope and for various community organizations. She and her music educator husband, Darrell, reside in Park Forest. Their daughter, Sarah, is an undergraduate at the University of Illinois in Champaign.

	Church Secretary, Susan Magruder
	Susan became Hope's secretary in January, 2000. She and her husband, Mark, reside near Merrillville, Indiana, with their two children, Andrew (who started high school this fall) and Megan.

	Pastor Emeritus, Robert L. Erickson
	Still known as "Pastor Bob" to the members of the congregation, Reverend Robert Erickson was Hope's pastor from 1980 to 1997, when he was forced to retire for health reasons. He and his wife, Kathy, live in Park Forest and have three adult children, Robert, Lance, and Stephanie.

	Custodian, Joe Ibanez
	Joe Ibanez has been Hope's custodian since late 1997. His wife, Betty Burfeind, is a teacher and coach at Andrews High School in Tinley Park. Joe's community involvement includes activities suchs coaching a girl's softball team in the Spring and Summer and teaching karate at the local park district.
