City of Chicago Heights

The City of Chicago Heights has a mayor-aldermanic government. The mayor serves as the chief executive of the City and oversees the operations of the municipal departments. The City is divided into six wards, each represented by an alderman. The mayor and the aldermen serve four-year terms. The next municipal election will take place in April 1999.

The City Council meets at 7:30 p.m. on the first and third Mondays of the month at the Municipal Building, 1601 Chicago Road.
