I would like to thank the volunteers whose dedication and giving spirit are vital to making our city a better place for all. I ask that more citizens consider volunteerism. We need people to serve on city boards and commitees as well as lend a helping hand for special projects.

Many of our fellow residents are serving as volunteers to make this year's CrossRoadsFest a big success. Anyone who wants to pitch in can call the Mayor's Office at 756-5315. I hope to see you all at CrossRoadsFest. There will be lots of free fun, and a chance to meet our new police bicycle patrol officers and check out our impressive police Mobile Command Center.
