FRIENDS SPONSOR AN ICE CREAM SOCIAL
KICK-OFF TO SUMMER READING 2003
IN YOUTH SERVICES

Golam Kibreah, Director of Youth Services, welcomes over 250 young readers and their parents to the
Summer Reading Kick-Off held recently at the library.

The Friends of the Park Forest Public Library worked fast and furiously to supply ice cream
(with choice of toppings!) for the crowds that came. Susan McGoldrick, Hospitality Chair,
master-minded the production line.

Will there be enough ice cream to go around? There surely was!

Good books, and good ice cream too!

Members of the Library Board and Village Board had fun too!

Now what kind of sprinkles do I want on my ice cream?

Life is very good at the library, we're coming back for more books, even without ice cream!

Patrons checked out hundreds of books.

And there were even balloons!

Mr. Bee, read us a story!

They were reading everywhere!
