Our Mission ...
South Suburban PADS is an ecumenical program providing shelter and supportive services to homeless persons. Compassion, hospitality and dignity are key characteristics of the PADS program.

Our Programs ...
South Suburban PADS serves homeless men, women and accompanied children throughout the south and southwest regions of Cook County, IL. through four programs:

PADS Emergency, overnight shelter locations - providing warm, secure overnight lodging, meals and hospitality at 17 local churches and synagogues, on a rotating basis. Shelter is provided between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. from October 20, 1997 through April 17, 1998.

PADS Daytime - our supportive service center is located at 1645 Wilson in Chicago Heights,Illlinois. Here individuals will find a safe haven staffed by friendly people who can help a person access the services they need in order to return to mainstream living.

PADS Homeless Healthcare Network - providing primary medical care in a free-clinic setting. The HHN is a collaborative response from public and private healthcare providers, educational institutions and medical professionals to meet the growing and complex needs of the homeless.

PROGRAMS WHICH OFFER HOPE AND OPPORTUNITY for homeless persons, for individuals willing to volunteer, and for donors seeking to support successful programs which make a difference!
