The Illinois State Police District Chicago will soon be hiring for the following entry-level civilian positions:

Office Associate (clerical) - Salary Range $1647-$2258 per month

Telecommunications Trainee (dispatcher) - Starting Salary - $2466 per month

To apply for one of these civilian positions, you must pass a standardized written test offered by Central Management Services (CMS) consisting of reading comprehension , name and number comparison and a typing competency test.  You will receive your grade in the mail from CMS.  As openings become available, applicants will be notified via mail of interview date and time.

OFFICE ASSOCIATE

In order to be considered for this position, you must pass the Office Associate examination:

Testing Location: James R. Thompson Center

Central Management Services

Bureau of Personnel - 3rd floor

100 West Randolph

Chicago, Illinois

Testing Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday Only (Available in computer & pencil/paper room), Time: 1:00 p.m. - written & typing (45 w.p.m. required).

(Arrive 30 minutes before test time. Late arrivals will not be admitted.)

TELECOMMUNICATOR TRAINEE

In order to be considered for this position, you must pass the Telecommunicator Trainee examination:

Testing Day: Selected Mondays (Call 1-312-793-3565 for dates), Time: 8:30 a.m.
