Christmas Giving

We will be collecting donations for the following which may be dropped off after services or when the church office is open. Please also see the Special Events page for our Advent events.

Rich Township Pantry Non-perishable food such as yams, stuffing mix, cranberry sauce, turkey gravy, cornbread mix, desert mix. Also non-violent toys.

South Suburban Family Shelter Gift cards (by Dec. 9 please) for food from Ultra or Jewel, or gas from Gas City or Speedway ($5 and $10 denominations).

Jones Memorial Center Mittens, gloves, and scarves by Dec. 9 please. Larger sizes are also needed for teenagers.

Flower Garden

One of the most distinctive features of our Church is the flower garden in our front lawn produced by our Master Gardener, Mel Schiller. Mel's efforts have won a Park Forest beautification award every year. Besides a large flower bed in the shape of a cross, there is also a representation of the Last Supper. A bench and a plaque have been added inviting the public to sit, relax, enjoy the flowers, and know that God is near.

PADS Ministry

Once a month, from October through April, youth and adults from our church cook and serve dinner for women living in a local homeless shelter.

Rich Township Food Pantry

Our church is one of the founders of the Rich Township Food Pantry. The Pantry provides supplemental food to needy families in the Rich Township area, including all of Park Forest. We continue to support the Pantry with regular donations of canned and dry food. Currently, the Pantry is in desperate need of non-perishable donations. Anyone that desires to make a donation can drop off the items any time the office is open or during Sunday services.

Pantry
