Ice Cream Social

On Sunday, Aug. 10th (thanks to Sam Miselli) we will have an Ice Cream Social after worship in our air conditioned hall. Come and join us and beat the heat in two ways.

Annual Spaghetti Dinner

On Oct. 25th, we will have our annual Spaghetti Dinner and Raffle fund raiser. Watch for further details for this fun event.

4th of July Parade

We participated in the annual Park Forest 4th of July parade. We had a good size crew handing out candy and flyers.

Thanks to the generousity and leadership of Grant Steve, we had a van and a trailer a bit larger than what our lawn tractor usually pulls.

U.P. Worship in The Park

On Sunday, July 27th, was the annual U.P. Worship in The Park. All four churches gathered together in Somonauk Park next to Grace Church. The music was provided by the Jazz Band and they had some especially uplifting music this year.

There was a special time in the service for the children.

The service was well attended.

Our church was well represented. Some members forgot to wear their blue T shirts.

Pastor Sykes from Faith had to help Pastor Burney with her part of the sermon. Pastor Brown looks on as he waits to do his part.

The subject of the sermonetes was One Baptism. Worshipers were invited to come to several baptismal fonts and renew that commitment.

Pastor Burney's Installation

On Sunday March 30th at 4:00 PM was the installation ceremony for Pastor Burney. Several of our past Pastors and many other guests were invited. A reception with refreshments followed. Because there were so many pictures, we have a separate page for this event. Click here to go to that page.
