Installation of New Director for "Roots & Wings", August 25, 2004
  
   
 
Kathleen Alonzo was installed as the New Director of the "Roots & Wings" Before-and-After-School Enrichment Program during the 9:15 a.m. service on August 29, 2004. Director of Family Life, Sherry Doyle, and "Little Angels" Early Learning Center Director, Terri Elliot, also received recognition.
 
   
 
Sadly, we also bid farewell to longtime members, Jan and Eva Bolden, as they departed to their new home in Salida, Colorado. We pray that God will continue to bless them in their new home.

"Roots & Wings" has been in operation for about three years now, and it was time that it received some fresh coats of paint. A number of members from Hope Lutheran donated their time on Saturday, August 28, to prepare the center for the new academic year. Tony Alonzo, husband of "Roots & Wings" Director Kathleen Alonzo, coordinated the work project.
