The Matteson Police Department employes thirty-six (36) sworn
officers,one (1) full-time and three (3) part-time community service
officers, nine (9) full-time and two (2) part-time telecommunication
operators. one (1) administrative assistant and one (1) part-time
secretary.
The Department is divided into three major divisions as follows:
The Village of Matteson, a Chicagoland south suburban community,
encompasses approximately eight (8) square miles and has a population of
12,400. The geographical location is Vollmer Road on the north, 219th
Street on the south, Kedzie Avenue on the east and Harlem Avenue on the west.
