EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION

Although we are not hiring at this time, the following list is the minimum requirements for becoming a South Holland Police Officer.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 1. You must be a United States Citizen.

 
• 2. Birth Certificate is required.

 
• 3. Must beat least 21 years of age on date of appointment or as otherwise stated by state statue.

 
• 4. Applicant must possess a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours from an accredited college or university. This requirement may be waived for ACTIVE police officers and/or police academy graduates.

 
• 5. Applicants MUST be capable of passing all tests including a background investigation.

 
• 6. Appointees must reside within a three (3) mile radius of the South Holland Village Hall within one (1) year from date of appointment.

 
• 7. Successful candidates will be subject to a thorough medical exam by designated physicians, and pass in-depth pyscological testing.

 
• 8. Must become a certified EMT - B
