Neighborhood Checkup Survey

The Crime Prevention Unit of the Tinley Park Police Department is interested in how you feel about your neighborhood.  We have put together the following survey and are asking you to complete the form, print it, and return the form to the police department at:

1.  In general, has your neighborhood become a better or worse place to live in, within the past year, or is it about the same?

                                           

2.  In general, do you think your neighborhood will be better, worse, or about the same a year from now, as a place to live?

                                              

Here are some statements.  Please indicate whether each one, in your own view of your neighborhood, is mostly true or mostly false.  If you don't know, please feel free to note that.

3.  If I were sick, I could count on a neighbor to run an errand for me.

                             

4.  If I have to be away from home for a day or two, I know a neighbor will keep an eye on my place.

                           

5.  There is very little my neighbors and I can do to change things around here.

                           

6.  Crime in my neighborhood is more of a problem than in nearby areas.
